The Persecution and Assassination of Democracy as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Washington Under the Direction of the Supreme Court
June 28, 2012

The Supreme Court decides on the Affordable Care Act (‘Obamacare’) today – well, they’ve already decided, they’re just going public today. I suspect they’ll uphold it because the ‘conservative’ justices are intellectually corrupt, if not in fact corrupt in other ways. It would have been better for the country and the world if the right-wing justices had been strangled in their cradles and never been allowed to hold high office. They crossed the Rubicon into corruption when they savaged the 2000 election to put their choice in office. That decision cost thousands of American lives and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi and Afghani lives and the loss of trillions of dollars from the U.S. treasury.

Later, their Citizens United decision broke the back of democracy in this country. The supporting Montana decision Monday sealed the fate of freedom and sold the United States to its most venal, morally bankrupt citizens, people like the Koch Brothers and the financial backers of the Tea Party, as well as the corporate barons whose only interest in America is how to corrupt democracy to line their pockets.

It is likely that the Court will support the ACA, if for no other reason than that it puts vast sums of money into the pockets of the insurance companies and the already wealthy elites who will then buy more politicians and judges, ensuring that corruption will become absolute. These so-called conservative justices curry favor with the wealthy and the powerful. Their corruption ensures that their decisions conserve nothing of democracy, conserve nothing of liberty, conserve nothing of the Constitution, conserve nothing of what it means that the United States has existed at all.

At some point these, or other, justices may decide that Citizens is a bad decision and seek to overturn it. By then it will be too late. Their decision will be ignored by the corporate lackey government that Citizens is right now creating. Future justices who seek to right the wrongs of Citizens will either be ignored or they will be spoken to harshly by the new barons ruling the country or they will be assassinated, either physically or in reputation.

Fair repayment indeed for the Supreme Court’s persecution and assassination of democracy in America.

End The Bloodshed in Syria: Kill Assad
May 27, 2012

Bashar al Assad in Syria killed some ninety people in the town of Hula yesterday or Friday. Thirty-two were children. Assad claims he was acting against ‘armed terrorist groups’, his standard justification for his mass murders. Pictures of dead children, their heads split open, name Assad for what he is.

The world wrings its hands and asks him to stop using heavy weapons in civilian areas. There are calls for the United Nations Security Council to meet and condemn the action. The United States wants Russia to help ‘ease’ Assad from power.

Ease Assad from power?

The man is a liar, a psychopathic mass murderer, a piece of moral scum no decent human being would have in his home. He murders children, not as ‘collateral damage’ but as policy.

And analysts and government spokesmen in the West bemoan that there is no easy solution to the situation. It’s too complicated, they say. Our hands are tied, they say. Israel is too close to Syria, they say. Alawite Christians are involved, they say. The Syrian army is too strong, they say. Our actions might precipitate civil war, they say. So they let it go on and make mewling noises about what a terrible thing it is that the Syrian government is slaughtering its own people, that Syrian soldiers, under the command of Assad, are splitting open the heads of children.

You cannot negotiate with an animal like Assad. His father was an amoral animal. His brother is an amoral animal. Both have bred spawn.

There is only one way to end Assad’s murderous rampage. Kill him. Kill his wife. Kill his children. Kill his brother. Kill his brother’s children. Kill the entire Assad family.

Meet savagery with savagery. Hunt them with SEAL teams. Send cruise missiles into their mansions and palaces and homes. Hound them until they are hiding in caves and then fire the caves with napalm.

But before you do that, take Bashar al Assad aside in one of those fancy rooms where diplomats and politicians decide how many of what kind of anonymous people they will arrange the deaths of and tell him he has two hours to withdraw his forces to barracks. At the end of the two hours, if he refuses, tell him there is no place on earth he, his wife, his children, his relatives, can hide. Tell him they will all be hunted down and killed. The legacy of Assad will be… exactly nothing. The blood of the Assad line will water the desert and disappear forever.

And then do it. No matter if he stops the attacks on the Syrian people. Kill him and his no matter what. Such people can not be tolerated any longer. Not in the Middle East. Not in Africa. Not in Asia. Not in Europe. Not in South America. Not in North America. Not in the United States.

Of course none of that will happen. Assad will continue on his merry, bloody way knowing the countries that could stop him haven’t got the balls to do it. He knows they will continue to wring their hands and say bad things about him, but will do nothing. The response of sanctions is simply a joke. They don’t affect him and his in any serious way and he doesn’t give a damn about what the sanctions visit on the Syrian people. He knows, in that clear-sighted way that psychopaths know things, that he will never be called to account for the blood on his hands.

When you look into the abyss of human nature, when you look into the darkest, ugliest places, the depths of what we are, you will see Assad grinning back at you.

Why Republicans Must Never Govern America Again
July 11, 2011

The Three Stooges

Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell, the Women’s Plastic Surgery Assface Award winner, gave a profound insight into the dark, foul heart of modern Republicans on Fox News Sunday.

He is quoted at TPM in the context of stating why he believes foreign terrorists should not be tried in civilian courts:

"These are not American citizens. We just found with the Caylee Anthony case how difficult is to get a conviction in a U.S. court," Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said on "Fox News Sunday."

Think about that for a second. Never mind the dumbasses playing at being terrorists. Think about the Anthony case and what old lady McConnell is saying.

“…how difficult it is to get a conviction in a U.S. court…”

Never mind what you think about Casey Anthony’s guilt or innocence or whether you think the jury was on drugs and the judge an agent of international communism.

Senator Mitch McConnell, a leader of the Republican party, decided that Casey Anthony should have been convicted of murder. His logic leads directly to the assertion that since she was charged she must be guilty.

Why bother with trials? The Senator believes she must be guilty, so just take the bitch out and hang her.

Never mind that she had a trial, that evidence was presented, and that evidence was challenged, and that a jury of her peers sat there for six weeks and heard everything both sides had to offer before retiring and finding her not guilty.

Nope. McConnell and his modern Republican pals don’t think we should do it that way. They think we should do justice another way: if you’re charged by the authorities, you are guilty. That’s very modern, no?

As modern as the Inquisition. As modern as feudalism. As modern as a lynch mob.

But the old whore Mitch might be right. It might be impossible to get civilian courts to convict a lot of the people locked up in Guantanamo and other hellholes the United States has established around the world for so-called terrorists. It might be impossible because in large numbers of these cases there is no evidence. No credible evidence.

There’s hearsay, when some guy wanted to get rid of his neighbor so he could get hold of the guy’s donkey or his wife.

There’re statements made under torture. Those are as reliable as confessions gained by the Inquisition’s torturers. And really, don’t kid yourself that Americans don’t torture people anymore. Bush and his fellow Christians started us down that road as a matter of policy, and we’ve learned that the current President’s word is pretty much worthless, so we’ve no credible grounds to believe we no longer torture people.

And there’s a host of other problems with the whole terrorist evidence situation. But perhaps the most fundamental one is that the United States considers a terrorist to be any person who fights against the invasion and destruction of his country by the Americans. And that pretty much makes the real terrorists to be the Americans.

A good civilian defense lawyer could very likely shred any case brought against these defendants – it’s more than likely most of them are innocent of any crime, and are more likely the victims of the vast war crime industry that we call the United States. That’s the real reason for the Republican call for the use of military kangaroo courts. Without that faux justice the real truth about what America has become might come out and people in Washington might actually have to pay a price for the innocent blood in which they are drenched.

No, the real problem is that McConnell and his friends can’t wait to completely corrupt the civilian system so that they can turn it against United States citizens, so that they can accuse their political enemies and have their accusations stand as proof of guilt, just like in the good old days the Republicans want to drag this country back to. The good old dark days of White rule, of oligarchic rule, of flat out simple firing squad governance.

After all, their stated objective, spoken by United States Senator Mitch McConnell, is to bring down the elected President of the United States, and the current situation in Washington demonstrates that they are more than willing, and able, to destroy the economy and anything else American, in order to do just that.

Their real progenitor, their real hero isn’t Abraham Lincoln. No. The real hero of Republicans, the man they look up to, the man they admire the most, the man they seek to emulate, that fellow’s name is John Wilkes Booth.

And the political system they most admire is one, any one, based on the practices and ideals of the medieval Inquisition.

AT&T, Comcast Purchase Department Of Justice, U.S. Fees For Service To Rise; World Snickers
September 7, 2007

What is there to say? Go read this short article. Work out the logic. Prepare to be crushed by monopolistic practices favored by Republicans and the Republican Gonzales ‘Justice’ Department.

Oh, what the hell, here’s quote from the article:

The companies, which have not announced plans to start charging, have pledged not to block or degrade subscriber access to legal content or services, and say neutrality rules would stifle investment.

Oh, yeah, they’re going to be so considerate and careful. Strikes me that charging premium prices will block content, because start-ups with little money won’t get on the web and thus we won’t get to see their content.

And that bit about ‘legal’ content? Hell, if you can buy the American Department of Justice, then you can decide what’s legal and what’s not legal, right? And the little manikins that pass for DOJ lawyers will go along with the money.

And they also talk of providing affordable rates to all Americans.

Bullshit.

We pay some of the highest rates in the developed world now, and for service and speed that’s worse and slower than other countries offerings. You think it’s going to get better by handing giant companies virtual monopolies?

Up is down. Left is right. Black is white. Republicans are good. Justice is blind.

BushAmerica. Got money?

Scooter Libby, The Saint Who Won the Gulf War
June 1, 2007

The judge who will sentence Scooter Libby says he’s gotten more than one hundred fifty letters from big shots in the government and the military and other professions begging for little Scooter to get probation.

According to Scooter’s attorneys:

While working in the executive branch, Mr. Libby helped the United States win the Gulf War, assisted with the transition to democracy in Eastern Europe, helped craft a strategy for reduced defense spending, and played a significant role in the largest nuclear arms reduction in history.

Maybe he did, maybe he didn’t. After all, he was an integral part of an Administration that lies better than it does anything else. But these guys would have us believe little Scooter is on the same moral plane as the Pope. Bad analogy. The Pope’s evil.

The other side of the story: Patrick Fitzgerald has said that little Scooter has shown no remorse for corrupting the judicial system.

And lest we forget what this saintly little fellow did, consider that he was a high government official, working in the White House for the President, when he became involved in actions that ultimately led to his conviction for perjury and obstructing justice in a matter of national security.

And here’s a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, quoted by little Scooter’s attorneys:

I always came away from our encounters thinking how lucky the country was to have someone of his caliber helping think through the great security challenges we all faced.

Wow, doesn’t that make you feel better about our security?

Justice Department Investigates Self
May 31, 2007

Apparently the Justice Department’s inspector general and its office of professional responsibility are going to investigate the Justice Department’s political corruption.

Oh, yeah, that’s got credibility! The most corrupt JD in the history of the country is going to investigate itself and we’re supposed to take that seriously.

Hell, it’s not even possible to take the news media seriously. If the news is coming out of Washington you can bet that a) it’s a lie and b) the news clowns didn’t really look into it. For them to print a story about the Justice Department investigating itself and not headline it with a big bwahahahahahaha is just so wrong! Makes my head hurt.
