Michelle Bachmann Not An American? She’s Swiss!
May 10, 2012

Politico is running a story about Bachmann admitting now that she has been a Swiss citizen for thirty-four years.

Devious wench, eh?

She’s claiming dual citizenship since she married the Swiss guy who runs the anti-gay clinic with Medicaid money. Problem is neither she nor he notified the Swiss government, nor the United States government.

But really, who cares? She’s just another mindless fundogelical freak out to corrupt the United States and make as much money as she can while doing it.

But maybe we ought to see her birth certificate. You know, just to make sure she really is an American and not a Swiss spy. And after all, if she ‘forgot’ to notify the United States government that she held dual citizenship while serving as a Representative in Congress, and serving on the freaking House Intelligence Committee, what other little details has she conveniently ‘forgotten’ to reveal?

And really, folks, she ran for President, remember? Do we really want a Swiss person sitting in the Oval Office? A faux Swiss person at that? After all, those people enable wealthy tax criminals like Mitt Romney and the like to hide money from the United States Internal Revenue service while the rest of us pay their tax tab. Kinda makes you wonder how much she and the Doctor have squirreled away in one of those secret numbered accounts, eh?

She claims she was born in Iowa. But hey, anybody can say that about themselves. And she does have that weird accent that speaks of something not really American. I dunno, folks, I dunno.

Yeah, let’s see the birth certificate, Michelle. The real one. How about it? Come on! Obama showed you his. Now you show us yours.

Of Republicans, Flag Pins, and Professional Wrestling
December 31, 2011

There’s going to be blood in the streets of this country. I don’t think there’s any question about that. Too many chasms are open and widening between classes of people, too much viciousness and ignorant bile flows from the Republicans and their Tea Party masters, an ignorant lot at best. There’s a price to be paid for what they’re doing, and I can only hope that Republicans pay it rather than the people they demonize and victimize.

The Republican candidates represent the worst of America. I tend to think of them as clowns, or Republiclowns, but that trivializes the danger they represent to the country. They are, no matter what face they show to the world, evil, foul, and disgusting human beings. Romney, considered the most electable of the lot, is ignorant and thoughtless, not to mention a liar and a hypocrite who will do or say anything to get to the White House. He seems to think he’s entitled, even while he blasts what he calls the ‘entitlement culture’ – never mind that most people earned and paid for those so-called entitlements. Even the most reasonably intelligent one, Huntsman of Utah, is a bad apple. He came out and said he believes in evolution and that global warming is real and caused by human activity, but in a matter of days he reversed himself. Why, one might ask?

A few years back the National Science Foundation did a study of Americans’ knowledge of science. It’s not surprising that a majority question whether evolution is a fact, given the childish and unfounded  faith in the supernatural most Americans exhibit and practice. But the study also found that twenty percent of Americans believe that the sun moves around the Earth. Twenty percent.

That’s why Huntsman reversed himself. That twenty percent? They’re the Republican base. Ignorant. Superstitious. Utterly incapable of critical thinking. Anti science. Anti intellectual. Anti government, in good part because they understand nothing about government. They are immature, thoughtless, and arrogant. And if one of these Republican candidates gets into the White House, with any kind of support in Congress, or even if lacking that support, you can be sure that it is the Republican base that will drive policy, and that Republican President will take the country back to the dark ages of the nineteenth century, of Jim Crow, of women as second class citizens, of education as a religious endeavor, of persecution of people who are ‘different’ — gays, blacks, Asians, Latinos — you name it: if you’re not white and heterosexual and religious, you get to go to the back of the line, to the back of the bus, to the slums, to the street.

Romney’s big claim to the White House is that he’s a businessman and therefore he can fix the government. The big flaw in that argument is that the government is not a business, is not about profit and loss, is not about manufacturing things for profit. Remember that Romney’s big success (success being defined as making himself rich, which is the only way Americans define success) involved buying up companies, burdening them with debt, breaking them up, throwing people out of work, and putting the profit from all of that in his pocket.

Translate that into government policies, driven by the brain dead, slogan-eating Republican base, and Romney will see his mandate as telling him to break down Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid; tax the poor and the middle class more; cut taxes on the rich, who he will call ‘job creators’ when in fact they do not create jobs or contribute much of anything to the common good of society; expand the military beyond its already bloated, purulent presence in the world; and use the military to bludgeon countries he disagrees with because he is utterly lacking in the skills and intellect needed to actually talk with and deal with them constructively over the short term or long term.

And Romney is considered the best of the bunch. Imagine if the atavistic Ron Paul gets in. Or the freakish Santorum. Or the volatile hypocrite and greedster Gingrich, the bomb thrower. Even Huntsman, whose views in full are by no means moderate, has chosen the path of hypocrisy and pander to appease the ignorant mob that is the Republican base. He effectively slobbered all over himself when he reversed his supposedly honest opinion on two major scientific facts.

What a disgusting bunch of people.

And Obama, the Democrat? He might as well sign on with the Republican party, because if he gets in again we’ll have a Republican in the White House, parading as a Democrat. He can’t be trusted. His word is worthless. He refuses to fight for anything. I don’t think he has the balls for a fight, frankly. He comes across as a man who would  let a psychopath rape his wife before he’d fight for her. I no longer respect the man. He lied to us for our votes, and he lied big, which only made the letdown after he got into the White House that much more devastating. He doesn’t stand for anything. Hard to believe in a man who doesn’t stand up, who doesn’t stand for anything, who doesn’t fight for anything. Oh, okay, he lets the military kill anonymous peasants in Afghanistan and Pakistan and assassinate American citizens. I guess that makes him a man in the eyes of… somebody.

Some choice for 2012. The Weakass Liar Obama or The Ignorant Panderer (Romney, Paul, Santorum, et al).

I no longer have any interest in voting. Hardly any point. Obama brings a slow death of democracy and freedom. Romney et al offers a quick death. And all the while that democracy is dying the yahoos and fools and stupid people on the right will cheer and whistle and stomp their feet because the depth of their understanding and appreciation of the United States government and its Constitution and laws doesn’t run any deeper than their appreciation of professional wrestling, an activity as phony and shallow as a Republican wearing a flag pin on his jacket.

Michele Bachmann, President: The Coming New McCarthy
June 28, 2011

Michele Bachmann is now officially running for President of the United States, or at least for the Republican nomination for the office. But her colossal ego most likely insists that she will be the next President, so that’s what she’s running for.

Listen to the woman who, while serving in the House of Representatives in 2008, said Democrats in the Congress should be investigated for anti-Americanism. Here’s what she said yesterday:

“Americans agree that our country is in peril today and we must act with urgency to save it,’’ Bachmann told the crowd of family, friends, and supporters. “And Americans aren’t interested in affiliation; they are interested in solutions, and leadership that will tell the truth. And the truth is that Americans are the solution and not the government.’’

Ah, now she makes herself clear. The United States government is not American. Apparently we’ve been fooled for a couple of hundred years by a fake government. Undoubtedly she will tell us at some point just who these imposters are who were elected to govern the country. Communists? Arabs? Muslims? Taliban? Black people? Brown people? Members of the Democratic Party?

Undoubtedly when she is President she will make everything American again and root out every last human vestige of anti-Americanism in the nation.

Those people will most likely be whoever is not Michele Bachmann. The categories of people (yes, people will be assigned to categories because it will be impossible to engage in wholesale cleansing of the body politic otherwise) will likely include non-evangelical Christians. Bachmann is an evangelical Christian who has a daily tête-à-tête with God – her god anyway – and does what it tells her to do, not unlike David Berkowitz, the infamous Son of Sam killer in New York City, who took his marching orders from a doG, and not unlike George W. Bush, the last delusional evangelical Republican President, who took his orders from his god and managed to kill hundreds of thousands of innocent people.

But Bachmann will undoubtedly, in the name of efficiency and effectiveness, not bother with multiple categories and just seek to silence and eliminate a single category of people – everyone who disagrees with her. That’s what deadly, delusional flakes like Bachmann do, have done, have always done.

Politicians like Bachmann sharpen their daggers with the sort of empty rhetoric that they are sure will appeal to a broad swath of Americans who have lost the ability to think critically, indeed, to understand anything beyond a media-approved sound bite.

“I seek the presidency not for vanity, but because America is at a crucial moment and I believe that we must make a bold choice if we are to secure the promise of the future,’’ she said.

Crucial moment. Bold choice. Secure the promise. The future.

Oh she has them all lined up, those little buzz words designed to short circuit the vestigial critical powers of the American electorate.

And it’s probably true that she’s not in it for vanity. Nope. She’s in it for her massive ego, for her mania for power, for her rage to correct everything she sees wrong in American society, which is pretty much everything that isn’t Michele Bachmann or Michele Bachmann’s beliefs, no matter how delusional, how ignorant, how uninformed, how bigoted, how hateful.

Just to refresh your memory about where this woman’s head is at, here’s the link to the Minnesota Independent story about her McCarthy moment on the Chris Matthews show in 2008.

In a stunning interview with Chris Matthews of MSNBC, Rep. Michele Bachmann called on the media to investigate anti-American sentiment in Congress, after slamming Barack Obama as “anti-American.” The accusations by Bachmann spurred massive fundraising for her opponent and the creation of a movement to urge Congress to censure Bachmann.

On MSNBC, she said, “What I would say is that the news media should do a penetrating expose and take a look. I wish they would. I wish the American media would take a great look at the views of the people in Congress and find out, are they pro-America or anti-America? I think the American people would love to see an expose like that.”

On Obama she said, “Absolutely, I’m very concerned that he may have anti-American views.”

There’s a lot wrong with Michele Bachmann, but down at the very heart of what’s wrong with her as a potential President is her ignorant view of what’s wrong with America and the world, and her overgenerous belief in her ability and methods to fix it all and make America right for her god and her regressive, dangerous politics.

If you thought George W. Bush was bad for the country, if you thought Joe McCarthy was bad for the country, wait till you get a load of the load of evil this broad will drop on the nation and the world.
