McCain Calls Bush A ‘Fool’ And A ‘Fraud’

In the Globe today Johnny ‘Bomb Bomb’ McCain let the world know that he thinks George W. Bush, reputed to be the President of the United States, is a fool and a fraud.

“Only a fool or a fraud talks tough or romantically about war,” McCain says over mournful strings against a bleak backdrop, including the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. “I hate war, and I know how terrible its costs are.”

Obviously he’s talking about our very own George, the same Bush that McCain sucks up to whenever he has the chance. But how does The Lion know this? What secret sources of information does The Lion have? Well, there’s this, from Reuters, about Bush addressing troops in Afghanistan:

“It must be exciting for you … in some ways romantic, in some ways, you know, confronting danger. You’re really making history, and thanks,” Bush said.

McCain, being a really smart guy with a memory like a steel trap, and being well-informed and up to the minute on anything he might say, would of course know what Bush said. Thus The Lion suggests that there is no other possible conclusion than that Johnny ‘Bomb Bomb’ is calling Georgie a fool and a fraud. It’s inescapable.

The story in which this little nugget appeared is headlined ‘McCain ad asserts his hatred of war’. It’s about a new ad Senator Bomb Bomb is running in ten states. The Lion hasn’t seen the ad, but feels he can safely assume that it shows the Senator speaking in his normal oh-so-pious tones about how much he hates war because he ‘fought’ in one.

Of course that’s not strictly true. He flew a couple of thousand feet over Vietnamese civilians and dropped bombs on them in that illegal, immoral war which the Republicans supported and continued for years under little Dickie Nixon. Some would say his actions were heroic, but The Lion suggests they were not unlike stuffing cherry bombs down antholes or into frogs’ mouths. When the Vietnamese finally shot him down and locked him up and tortured information out of him, he traded his father’s admiralty for better accommodations, so the story goes. A real hero.

Lest it be forgotten, note that this tortured sudden lover of peace recently decided that he supported Bush’s program of torture of people suspected of daring to fight against the United States’ brutal occupation forces. Suspected. One might suppose that the hundred or so suspects who died under American torture would have something to say about that, if they hadn’t been brutally murdered.

Be that as it may, The Lion recalls Senator Bomb Bomb during the recent primary season taking a different tack.

A high-profile ad then used McCain’s credentials as a prisoner of war to vouch for him as he fierily exhorted a crowd to “Stand up. We’re Americans. We’re Americans and we’ll never surrender; they will!”

And of course there’s Senator Bomb Bomb singing his famous little ditty ‘Bomb bomb bomb Iran’.

Nor can we forget his heartwarming and courageous desire that American troops spend the next one hundred years, at taxpayer expense, occupying and fighting in Iraq.

This is not a man who hates war.

This is a man who loves the smell of napalm morning, noon, and night, who loves the whump of bombs exploding in villages, who cares far less for the lives of humans living in Iraq or Iran than he does for his own image and career.

This is a man who will say anything that he and his handlers think will garner a vote in November.

This is a liar and a hypocrite vying to become President of the United States.

This is a man as dangerous and mentally ill and pathetic as the current President.

Senator John ‘Bomb Bomb’ McCain cannot be trusted with the safety and security of the American people. His only answer to the problems plaguing the country and the world is to slaughter foreigners en masse and destroy their countries.

His actions as President will, as will the actions of George W. Bush, haunt this nation for decades.

  1. Brilliant 🙂

I think you’re being harsh on Johnny insane, after all he was he was brutally tortured by French reporters interviewing days after he had been pulled unconscious from the water and given him life saving surgery, apparently the brute made him drink instant coffee and wouldn’t let him screw the Vietnamese nurses. But after he got over that horrendous ordeal he did see the errors of his ways admit to being a war criminal and defect to the Vietnamese side so he didn’t have to go back to war. And he bears the Vietnamese no bitterness for deporting him.

  3. Ric: One minor nit to pick (sorry): McSame flew A-6 Intruders which flew fairly low — from a couiple thousand feet down to treetop height. The idea being, if you can’t fly over the AAA, you fly so low that, by the time they see/here you, it’s too late to shoot. Other than that, great post.

So I guess pushing for a war with Iran is part of his hating war. He must think that Iran itself is war, so we have to attack Iran which is war itself in order to defeat war which is actually Iran. Shit. I wrote that and I don’t even understand it.

Thanks for the correction on the plane. I edited accordingly.

As for the second part of your comment, yeah, I didn’t understand what you said either. Have some Scotch. 🙂

Also added a bit too on torture.

Did you hear this fucking moron this morning. Bringing the troops home isn’t important. Let’s just hope he keeps running off at the mouth and drowns in his own drool.

  6. For those who are troubled by the Lions ripping teeth and claws, let me put it a bit gentler:

Are you happy with the direction America is going? Do you think the war against Iraq was a good idea? Do you think we should hold people prisoner without even reading charges against them and allowing them to dispute it in front of judge? Do you think it’s ok for us to torture people?

If so, McCain is your guy. I don’t think there is any hope of convincing you otherwise. If, however, you are not happy with any of the above, then you really only have one choice in November. There’s nothing more to think about. Things are never black and white, but things have seldom been as clear as they are right now.
