Guantanamo Trials Rigged – Acquittals Not Allowed, Says Former Chief Prosecutor

Yes, the Guantanamo trials are phony. Col. Morris Davis, former chief prosecutor at Gitmo, tells all. Acquittals are not allowed. He resigned in protest. Read The Nation article.

You knew it was true. But there’s the smoking gun.

The military comprises war criminals.

The administration comprises war criminals.

Bush and the rest are war criminals.

Welcome to America, land of war criminals, home of torturers.

The sickness brought onto this country by Bush and the Republicans seems to have no end to it, no depths to which it will not drag the nation.

And now the Republicans offer John McCain, who offers more of the same, for a hundred years, a man with neither principles nor integrity.

It’s time to end this affront to the nation.

  1. I must learn to stop thinking, “Now, I’ve heard everything!” and “It can’t possibly get any worse than this.”

Guess what? Whenever I have either of those thoughts, someone – usually either a Republican or a Bush administrator – proves me wrong. Perhaps my new mantra should be, “I ain’t heard nothin’ yet,” and, “It’s gonna get a lot worse before it gets any better.”

  2. I agree, Chappie. Every time I sigh and say, it can’t get worse, it does.

Remember, America stands as a beacon of lawfulness and civility in a world rife with sectarian strife and terrorism. It is our sworn mission before god to show the heathen how a democratic and law-abiding nation behaves. We must force democracy and freedom upon them, and if they don’t like it, hey, no problemo, we just rig the trials.
