Yup. Self sabotage, it’s what we do. THey don’t just vote for the bastards, they defend them vigorously and all the while their pockets are being picked.
I honestly don’t understand. I don’t want to go down the condescending road, but there are times when I want to ask them, “are you stupid or stupid?”
We’ve always had more stupid people than smart people – what seems to be different today is that an entire political faction has decided to play stupid as well and celebrate the ignorance of their voters. (with a bit of media help of course). So when US Senators say the earth is 6000 years old . . .
